Best mentor I ever knew taught me with patience and care, lapping valves and building 292 fords, gas welding, how to run a lathe and precision grinders... I was being punished by being assigned to "garage" duty...go figure! The guy even made his own rifles, barrels and all, and parts for mechanical watches. He ran trap-lines in winter with a snowcat...my biggest mistake was not going along. R.I.P. He must have been born about 1895. He did show me some tracking and hunting skills A fine man.
